Checking my notes from walking through the bull pen the other day. I have R-630 written down as being a very nice looking bull with a wider butt. The Exemplify herd sire is a moderate sized animal that has produced most of my calving ease yearling that you see posted on the web-site. R-630 is one of my higher ratioing bulls @ 104. I seem to be getting fussier in my old age. Years ago we keep our cows for more years than I do now. Generally driven by herd expantion. So we would see cows quite often with 8-10 calves under there belt before we sold them. Is a faster turn over these days with smaller herd, trying to keep things fresh for the customers. Anyway R-630 has posted some pretty good numbers. Kinda in between, heifer or cow bull. Nice weight gain on the cow. Dam of this bull surprised the heck out me with her 1st calf. That boy came across the scale at 830 lbs. gaining 3.58 lbs/day on cow!! 2nd calf she took a little break with that heifer gaining 3.21 lbs/day. Now R-630 doing 3.75/day. Once again above average WW and YW. 6th highest gaining bull. Once you start getting close to that 800 lb. mark, you got a pretty good bull.
