Scrotal:

This fellow is the 4th highest gaining bull of the season. We didn't have any bulls this year make it to the 4 lbs./day threshold. There were a few that came mighty close.  All though we did have one heifer do 4.11 lbs/day. He also has the best weaning weight of 808 lbs.@ 208 days. And on top of that he has the highest 205 day weight of 816 lbs. What I've been noticing over the years as we have gone from calving the last week of Febuary for many years to now calving the 20th of March is that we have not lost the ability to have 800 lb plus animals. The percentage of those heavy calves has stayed about the same as we have gone from a much larger herd to our precent herd  of 40 cows. But 40 of the best cows you'd ever want to own. Sure we only have a quarter of the numbers we used to but genitics have helped us to have those heavy calves even though the calves are 30 days younger. R-626's dam is the most easy going cow we got. Her 2nd calf got navel ill early on and was never the best gaining calf. Only ratio'd a 91 at weaning. Otherwise her ratio on 3 calves would of been much higher. With a CED of +11 for calving ease plus his above average growth numbers, great feet and legs and a very mellow personality, puts him in the top 3 bulls we have to offer this year.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        PRICE : $6,500  Bill Drury
