     This guy shows you don't have to have high EPD's to be a good gaining animal. He came pretty darn close to being a 800 lb.calf. His dam is a very consistent cow when comes to her calves gaining ability. First calf did go over the 3 lbs a day threshold but when it came to her second calf he gained 3.75lbs. 3rd did 3.73 and then this fellow doing 3.74 lbs. Just dawned on me that all of her calves have been bulls. Did alittle figuring here and came up with a few gaining numbers. Our bull calves this year gained on average 3.67 lbs.a day. Heifers came in at 3.27 lbs.a day. Anyway R-625 is tied with another bull for second place for having the highest ribeye EPD. His scrotal ranking is in the top 20% and heifer pregancy at a very nice 10%.
